Warm and Moody Paint Color
With this design, I wanted to create something moody and warm. Throughout this living room design I used rich browns, dark charcoals and deep beiges. I wanted my color palette to exude warmth and comfort with a luxurious richness. Sherwin-Williams’s Urbane Bronze – SW 7048 is a perfect color if you are looking for a moody color with warm undertones. I think this is the perfect color for a dramatic statement in a formal living room, a moody bedroom, or for a masculine man-cave.
Best Moody Paint Color – Iron Ore
Cool and Moody Paint Color
Iron Ore by Sherwin-Williams – SW 7069 is another great choice for a moody paint color. This is the perfect paint choice if your space has a lot of natural light. It is a great choice for an accent wall or a board and batten wall! I love the Iron Ore accent wall in this moody living room design. This charcoal paint color is rich and moody and pairs nicely with creams, taupes, and deep beiges.

Another color I love for a moody design is Sherwin-Williams Green Black – SW 6994. Greenblack is a great option for a bedroom, man-cave or moody living room. This black paint color has notes of green that make it unique. It will make a bold statement while adding depth and dimension to your space. Greenback pairs very well with leather tones, neutral upholstery such as light grays, creams, greens, and beiges.

Green Moody Bedroom
I used this deep green color, Sherwin-Williams Ripe Olive – SW 6209, in my guest bedroom. I chose this color because I wanted to lean into the moody vibes of this space. This paint color has blue-gray undertones. It is the perfect palette to tie together dark elements such as browns and black with beiges and creams. I love the richness of this color. This color is great for bedrooms, laundry rooms, home offices or a moody living rooms. For my space I paired this color with an upholstered bed, black nightstands and light brown tones.

Moody Teen
Another color I love is the Sherwin-Williams Naval – SW 6244. I’ve used this color in countless teen bedroom designs. Navy is such a popular color, but this shade specifically captures the rich navy tones. The color is still dark and moody but is one of the brighter colors on the list. I chose this color because it pairs nicely with cool grays, creams, chocolate browns, and faded charcoals. This color can be used in a kid’s room to add playful color that fits esthetically with the rest of the home or in any space you want to add a pop of color that isn’t overbearing. I love this color as an accent for kitchen cabinets, or anywhere you want to achieve a moody vibe that isn’t overwhelmingly dark.
